Q&A from our Conference Call

Recap from our 12/26/06 Affiliate Conference Call
Thank you to all those in attendance during our first conference call of 2006. For those of you that were unable to attend, below you’ll find a recap of today’s main issues. If you have a question that isn’t listed below, we encourage you to contact us at sk@converseon.comand we’ll be sure to get your question answered.

Q: How do I set up a datafeed?
A: STEPS:
(1)Go to http://scientificsonline.feedshare.com/affiliates/default.aspx
(2)Input your affiliate ID
(3)Select integration (javascript store front, php store front, xml, csv file)
(4)Select feed - Scikit and Edmunds Scientifics both have feeds at this time.
(5)Select the products you’d like to appear directly onto your site.
(6)Choose the look to coincide with your site by selecting the font, color, layout and table size. Then, customize it to work best for you by selecting how to sort the products, whether you want images of the product to appear, their descriptions, their price, a search box, etc.

This is all dynamic and will automatically be updated with current data feed. We suggest you use this feed as an element to your site, and not as the sole content for your entire page.

Q: Why do some images within the feed not appear?

A: When we update the feed, sometimes an image is not available at that moment, but should become available. If you find this happens often, please contact us at sk@converseon.com.

Q: Where can we see an example of how someone effectively used the data feed?
A: We suggest checking out www.Sean2005.com/labrats to see how content can mix well with the data feed for a successful learning and shopping experience.

Q: What is SEAN?
A: Our all encompassing program is called SEAN, short for Science Education Affiliate Network – which includes Science Kit, Edmund Scientific, Ward’s Natural Science and Sargent Welch.
